Changing solicitor during a personal injury claim

by admin on July 20, 2011

In October 2011 the Code of Conduct for all Solicitors in England and Wales will be updated. This revised Code continues to give consumers the right to change their solicitor if they do not feel happy with the way their case is being handled. The UK Government has also proposed changes to the way that personal injury claims will be handled. As a result, we are likely to see more solicitors offering to act for the most seriously injured accident victims. This raises issues over which solicitor to choose and who is best placed to handle a claim of this nature. A lot of people think it isn’t possible to change their solicitor during a claim. In this short video Warren Collins, Head of Catastrophic Injury and Paul Keown, Senior Solicitor at Davies Arnold Cooper LLP discuss why and how you might want to do this.
